What is Standards-Based Genius Hour?
An independent or group project that is student-led, student-driven, and aims to answer questions from students about the curriculum that are beyond what is learned in class. This is different from traditional Genius Hour in that it can be incorporated into what you teach instead of being a stand-alone project or class.
You need to accept that you won't always have all of the answers, students will drive a lot of their own learning, students will struggle/fail/recover/repeat, and that learning will be messy. If you can accept this, you will see students achieve things you never thought possible and go above and beyond your curriculum. If still interested, read on!
